The mission of WRC is ‘to regulate and manage the sustainable utilization of water resources and to coordinate related policies by combining our core competencies and hard work through effective participation, monitoring and awareness creation for socio-economic development of Ghana’

To achieve this, we:
1.Regulate and Manage Water Resources – Establish policies, guidelines, and standards to ensure responsible water use, protect water bodies from pollution and degradation, and promote conservation efforts.
2.Promote Sustainable Utilization – Encourage the efficient use of water resources to support agriculture, industry, domestic supply, and environmental needs while maintaining ecological balance.
3.Coordinate Related Policies – Work closely with government agencies, local authorities, private sector stakeholders, and communities to align national water policies with broader development goals.
4.Leverage Core Competencies and Hard Work – Utilize the expertise and dedication of our team to implement best practices in water governance, research, and enforcement of regulations.
5.Encourage Effective Participation – Engage communities, industries, and other stakeholders through public consultations, partnerships, and capacity-building programs to ensure inclusive decision-making.
6.Enhance Monitoring and Compliance – Conduct regular assessments of water bodies, enforce regulatory measures, and implement early warning systems to prevent water-related crises.
7.Create Awareness and Education – Develop public education campaigns to inform citizens about water conservation, pollution control, and responsible water usage, fostering a culture of sustainability.
