The Executive Secretary serves as the chief executive officer of the Commission, overseeing the execution of strategic policies and initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable water resource management. The responsibilities include:

• Policy Implementation: Ensuring the effective enforcement of regulations governing water usage and conservation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with government agencies, international organizations, and local communities to promote integrated water resource management.
• Research & Development: Supporting scientific research and innovative solutions to address water-related challenges, including climate change and pollution.
• Capacity Building: Enhancing institutional and human resource capacity to improve water governance across Ghana.
